雨林多様性 － 起源と意味
熱帯雨林は地球の生体の最も大きい多様性を支えます。
雨林は地球の表面の2パーセント未満を覆うけれども、
それらは地球のすべての生物の約50パーセントを収納します。
熱帯の雨林に住む生物の数は膨大なほど、約500万-5千万の種類、理解し難いぐらいです。
